12 Jun Rituals
Plan rituals into your daily routine, in order to have more time and relaxation for yourself (e.g. a morning ritual with calm, coffee and reading or an evening ritual with exercise, meditation and a bedtime read).
A ritual is an action that follows predefined rules. It is frequently accompanied by certain words and gestures and can be religious or secular in nature (e.g. in the form of worship, family gatherings).
By following predefined sequences and symbols, rituals convey pause and orientation. Rituals facilitate dealing with stress, making decisions and living in a hectic world.
Rituals also serve to establish rhythms. There are cyclical, life-cycle (e.g. birth) or event-related (e.g. illness) sequences.
